Donald Trump President - Who To Blame?

The pragmatist seeks to be seen as practical.

The liberal seeks to be seen as intellectual.

The Democrat seeks to be seen as both.

Neither attribute was visible during the American election. Donald Trump won not so much on his abilities or talent, or indeed by being seen as the best person for the job, but by virtue of the Democrats selecting a second rate, damaged individual who's historical baggage weighed her down politically along with the American electorate's dissatisfaction with their corrupt political system.

Recent polls, but also those taken at the time, reveal Bernie Sanders as being the only one who had the clout to beat Trump. Why then did the Democrats select Hillary Clinton when she was obviously flawed and less likely to beat a man the world fears? Sexism.

It is plainly sexist when a party seeks to promote a political figure of whatever gender, in this case,  female, purely because  they want to appear politically correct. Gender should not matter. Both sexes are capable of holding high office. We have seen the likes of Margaret Thacher, Angela Merkel, Dalia GrybauskaitÄ—, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Nicola Sturgeon, Erna Solberg, Theresa May, Indira Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and of course Aung San Suu Kyi lead their respective nations.

Being pragmatic does indeed mean being practical. That being so the practicalities of the modern world, that is the world we live in now, need addressing not pandering to the intellectual pretensions of the few but the needs of the many. The world is in real twofold danger. On one hand, we have the environment. There is no longer any doubt the climate of our fragile world is changing. Donald Trump has made it clear he does not believe the facts of science dismissing the idea of climate change as pure fiction.

One the other hand we have Russia who has seen promises broken and watched as the USA have flagrantly surrounded their sovereign soil with military might. Putin and the nation he leads has had enough and now are ready for war. A third World War is very much on the cards.

Now we have a cannon so lose in the Whitehouse we all need to wear tin helmets.

Blame the Democrats for this man being elected as the President of the mightiest nation the world has ever seen for they and they alone could have prevented this man from gaining power. Instead, they chose to promote an individual few American's trust rather than that of man the vast majority of Democrats did. Bernie Sanders would have beaten Donald Trump. Had his party supported him the rest of the world could have slept safely in their beds. Now, due to the whimsical witterings of those desiring to be seen as intellectual, insomnia is a collective experience shared the world over.

Being seen as intellectual does not mean you are intelligent. Intelligence only exists when the intellect and emotion act in harmony. Sadly, for a party who once were intelligent progressives, intelligence has been sacrificed for no other reason than to appear liberal. There is nothing liberal about conceding defeat to a neoconservative promoting racism, classism, and sexism.

"Training the intellect does not result in intelligence. Rather, intelligence comes into being when one acts in perfect harmony, both intellectually and emotionally. There is a vast distinction between intellect and intelligence. Intellect is merely thought functioning independently of emotion. When intellect, irrespective of emotion, is trained in any particular direction, one may have great intellect, but one does not have intelligence, because in intelligence there is the inherent capacity to feel as well as to reason; in intelligence both capacities are equally present, intensely and harmoniously." Jiddu Krishnamurti

Do you want to blame someone for Donald Trump's victory? Well then, blame the Democrats.
