Caroline Lucas was the first leader of the UK Green Party from 2008 until 2012 winning 92% of the vote. She was elected as a Member of the European Parliament for South East England in 1999 and has subsequently been re-elected in 2004 and then again in 2009. She became the first Green MP to enter parliament after winning the Brighton Pavilion election. She is an outspoken environmentalist and a member of CND; vice-president of RSPCA and also vice president of Stop The War Coalition. Caroline is a passionate socialist.
