Stephen King said he had to stop reading reviews of his work because his wife semi-jokingly threatened to divorce him if he didn't. He said that he could read ten good reviews, and the one bad one would stick with him, get under his skin, and make him into a grouchy bastard for a week following. I fear I'd be inclined to be the same way.

I got a tremendous review from one source and a stimker from another. It was the latter that remains with me so maybe we all are the same. The bad review suugested it was the worst book he had read and how he wished he hadn't wasted his money on such drivel. Ouch.

I would not be able to get over bad reviews either.
