Monday.

January flying past leaving me feeling as if I have achieved little.

The Kindle books are ready in terms of editing and amending but not with regard to artwork. I need to get to see Dave but Mum’s ill health and the time I have had to spend with her has prevented any socialising. Work is less manic but still busy. Clients are demanding and it still frustrates me to see such a lack of wisdom on behalf of the Fizzing Drug Store but also the deception played by Red Astaire. Perhaps deception is too strong a word but there is a lack of honesty on their part. What Fizzin Drug Store needs is not only cost saving but quality and control over their print requirements. The first they think they are getting but in fact they are not and the second doesn’t seem to occur to them. If only I had the money to set up a consultancy I would present to them a sound and persuasive argument on how to save more money, get better control and thereby improve quality. Sadly I am to them nothing but a small cog in a very large machine.

After work I went to see Mum. Ron and Audrey were there but fortunately no sign of Captain Andy, the Methodist, Salvationist halfwit. Mum really has made good ground these past two days. She looks better and is no longer having those awful dreams. She is still weak but getting stronger and has even started eating solids. Today she was given some physio and walked gingerly around her bed. Small steps at first but all to the good. The hospoital have said she may be able to go home by the end of the week but I think that is too soon. Maybe Monday or the following Friday.
