Thirteen Line Poem

~
~
~
you think me lonely,
and if I am
is the solution
to sleep together
in sweat and turmoil
of the crutch hungry dark
that leads us from
temptation into
sweet damnation?
and if we did
would you love me
from now till forever,
for all of our eternities
~
Would you?

Lies, damn lies and "sweet damnation?" I loved this, especially that tiny "would you?"

The feminine side peeking through - how could she not love you, then? hehe. I love the tiny would you? Really did.

Aching, I read this as I see his eyes scorching my soul and setting me aflame just remembering the unadulterated yearning...love unlocked once again between us yet not ever consummated at different times in our lives due to circumstances that we both wish were vastly different- Yet, I often asked the ending question repeated in your poem and that stroke of genius w/ the tiny font... That vision caught in my throat.

Your words are lover's lotion slipping into every secret crevice that houses him forever.

"crutch hungry
dragon dark" is brilliantly vivid

"that leads us from
oblivion into
sweet damnation" reminds me of us wanting to recreate a passionate past, but we didn't. I feel a poem coming on about restraint, regret, and respect...

I could frame this. I adore it, CJ!
