rooks

when rooks gather
it is called a parliament.
in a circle collected,
one at the centre,
arcane and sinister
they listen in judgment
then they either leave
or kill the one.

I once saw a crow jump up and down on a live pigeon's head, until the head eventually broke off. Birds are cool at killing.

For some reason this brought up an immage of Stone Henge (hope that's how you spell it) with sort of druid crows.

fist>>>nature is so random and so cruel and yet so utterly beautiful. weird how things work.

sue>>>absolutely, although that wasn't the inspiration but yeah, crows, when they gather are like druids.

politics is the same everywhere. shameless, brutal, selfish. and from this angle, (yeah 3rd world perspective) it's stupidity glamorized.

missy>>>i think they do but they just don't hear.

gulnaz>>>not meant to be a parable or a metaphor but yeah, it does have that kind of resonance doesn't it?

I love it when so much is said in so few words. I was trying, unsuccessfully, to photograph rooks yesterday. Caw blimey!

floots>>>trying to photograph rooks must be the devils own job. everytime you get close they must fly off?
